What is each band mean?

So what should my settings be adjusted (I live in Sugar Land, Texas 3 minutes from Houston, TX)? Do I have to Ku-band on or POP?

A: K-band, Ka-band and X band are your major concerns.

K and Ka radar are wide and X-band radars are narrow band.

Ku-band is found in Europe, so it is not necessary in the USA.

Keep in mind, the police can detect that you have a radar detector. They use a wave called VG2 that captures the signals.
