For instance, you don’t want tweeters to play anything lower than ~2khertz and the mid woofer to play anything higher than the same range. Sometimes they can be crossed to overlap but it really depends on installation. To put it in a nutshell Speakers of all sizes have a range of frequencies it is suited for.
